Every time you want fish do you go fishing or do you go to the freezer?
Convinience is only a small factor. But as far as which is healthier for your animal you can actually argue that F/T is because some paracites are killed during the freezing process. As far as safty goes, dead rodents don't bite back.

Baha, couldn't help but laugh when I read that. But ya, some people wouldn't know anybetter. I actually had a guy I know get a snake and when I told him to feed frozen rather than live he said " will it be able to digest a frozen mouse?" I could't believe he was serious! But I guess that's just how nieve some people are. So, point being it is a good statement you made, just made me laugh when I read it cuz I thought of him. :D

LOL!!! I had to write up an "instruction" sheet for frozen rodents because I had so many people asking about it. Some of the questions ranged from....
"What do I do with the left-over rodents from the pack?" (I pack my rodents in vacuum sealed bags of ten usually)
"I've heard that teeth will hurt the snake... should I pull them out before I feed them off?"
"What should I feed the rodents?" (Uh... they are DEAD! What do YOU think?!?)
And I still can't believe THIS one:
"When I thaw them out, will they come back to life?" (I first saw this on another feeder breeder website and laughed. I didn't think people were THAT stupid... that is... until someone asked ME that question! People really ARE that stupid!!)

Oh... and for the original question...
Nutritionally, there is very little difference between frozen and live. Some people believe that freezing will cause certain nutrients to break down, but I am not sure how big of a difference this actually is.
There are some advantages to feeding frozen:
The rodents are pre-killed and unable to fight back.
There is no food or mess to worry about with frozen rodents.
Frozen rodents are generally cheaper than live.
You can buy frozen rodents in bulk and if they are properly vacuum sealed, they can last for a few years in your deep freezer.
All the external parasites and some of the internal parasites will be killed on frozen rodents.

Live rodents are more "work." If your snake refuses to eat, you have to provide a cage/tank for the mouse/rat. There is also the additional cost of food and substrate. Live rodents can have parasites. They can, and in many cases will, fight back and could seriously injure your snake.

I could go on... but you get the idea... :)
Take care
