Would a 30 long x 12 deep x 18 high tank be ok for a ball python? Or a bit too small ... my friend just picked me up a used one from a store, thinking that it was a 33 gallon (36" long)... but now that he has it home and measured it, it's only 30" long...
He said that he'd keep it if I didn't want it... and what I wanted it for was a snake tank...
thanks :)

cool :) thanks guys!
the length + deep should be at least the length of the snake
our BP are in a 40 stout but will be in a larger tank for adults
It should be fine, clownfishie.

for adult bp's give them atleast 25 gallons per snake, but you can go larger if you want...
I'm an advocate of free range snakes :D , so I say if you have them in a smaller tank .. make sure you let them out for lots of exercise .. get those ribs workin'.

I'd completly agree, I always take ALL my snakes out and the enclosures I set up are never just the minimum...I give um LOTS of space:) Its almost always better though there are some exceptions.
