Is there a gecko that you only have to feed every 2 weeks?? Is there ANY lizard that you only have to feed every 2 weeks??

I can't think of one that would remain healthy with feedings like that. Even those with the slowest metabolism.

Yep......Gilas/Beadeds should only eat every couple weeks (sometimes less often then that) depending on meal size/sex/time of year/husbandry. Without going into extensive detail, this does not include every specimin, all the time, in every case. It depends heavily on the things I have mentioned above, as well as other unforseen issues/conditions.

These are the only lizards that come to mind that would eat that infrequently.

Why do you ask anyway?

MAybe you shouldn't forget to mention that theses hiladerms are that only venemous lizards ... I agree with you on that one althoughI persoanlly thin that a small meal each weeek seems to kee them more fit.. Just an oppinion though ..

I also canot thik of any other lizards that could do this on a regular basis .. I know many that could go off there food for that lon g with no ill effects for once or twice but none that could do these on a regular feeding but the gila monster and the beaded lizard.

I am curious too .. why such a want for a lizard?

No No I don't WANT one. My sister's co-worker claims that she has some geckos and only has to feed once every 2 weeks. I just wanted to know that, all geckos need to eat everyday. I thought maybe she was just dumb and didn't have geckos, just mistaken them as geckos. But so far as I know those lizards you said that could live ok like that, can't be mistaken for geckos. Any thing else I should know before I go shooting my mouth off (e.g. there is a lizard that looks like them that only eats every 2 weeks).

Even geckos with slower metabolisms will still eat a few times a week. Probably, she's exagerating, or she has very thin, starved geckos.
