if using a loose substrate in a glass tank for a kenyan, do I have to have something between the glass and the substrate (like newspaper, carpet, etc)? I'm using a uth set on a thermostat. I had heard that I had to have something in between so my ksb wouldn't rest directly on the heated glass? What do you guys think?
