butter worms?

Any body feed their dragons these? Are ther benefits over waxworms? Are they more healthy b/c they are most certainly more expensive!! I was at a pet store today and asked how much they were and at $1 each I turned down buying any for now! How many of these would you feed to them in a week!? I finally got crickets in bulk and that was a big money saver and would like to give her a good insect diversity but not if her grocery bill is going to be higher than the rest of my families!!!!

i didn't think there were any places out here that sell butter worms
Silkworms are awesome for beardies though and are white...almost greyish-white

Actually the pet store deals mainly in exotics no birds cats,dogs,etc so they supposedly know what kind of feeder insects the're selling! I did ask about silkworms today and they told me they don't keep them but they could order me some in. They also told me that the silkworms were going to be $1-$1.50 each!!! Now I know these are supposed to be good for the dragons b/c of calcium content and there all squishy and what not but I thought that was kinda expensive too! As you know Puff isn't a fussy eater so the crickets and veggies and occasional wax worm are sufficing but I think I'll wait 'till I can get to one of the shows to get a better deal on the silkworms!

Im pretty sure that butter worms are the same as wax worms. Thats pretty bad to charge that much for them. They charge the same for wax worms as crickets here. Silkworms are $0.30 each here, and if you can stand the smell of their food you can raise them and buy them a lot cheaper than that.

They actually sell wax worms also and yes they are about the same price as crickets but from what i've read they aren't the same creature!

Heres something I found on a website for fish bait and reptile food. The look basically the same to me, but the butter worms come from Chile

Butterworms and waxworms are different bugs. Butterworms are sometimes called Trevo worms or Chilean moth larvae or sweet worms. They are nutritionally deficient - they only feed on very specific types of food - so are starving when you get them. But, then again so are waxworms until you gutload them.But, they are supposed to taste like bacon puffs when fried. ;)
