Well I came home from work, went down stairs to mist everything and BAM! Eight little amazons born. Mom look thin, but good and all the babies are huge. Also on a very bright note, this was her first litter and no slugs. The sire had a two toned tongue and one babie for sure also has it. Anyway enjoy the pics.

Here's the pic of the SIRE to this litter. I will give a hardy hand shake to Henry Piorun at the Red Deer show for letting me buy these animals that gave me this litter.

Great job Richard!! You must be completely stoked...

This is one of the main reasons I love ATBs....variability!
Two different looking parents and you get a hodge podge of babies. All little beauties!
Great job and looking forward to individual pics of the babies!

Great looking babies! Not so bad for a first litter too, 8 babies and no slugs, way to go!

Hey Rob when are you going to pick up your trio from me. I thought you said "Richard I have some empty cages" I got home today and thought it might be naice to take some pics of the new babies. This is the closest thing I have to patternless red Trevor. This amazon also has some black spots so, Red patternless I don't think so. On a little side note 6 of the eight babies have a two toned tongue that is from black to red/pink and vise versa.

You red phase is very nice looking... i dont know if it is a sad thing that the litters have such different colors, cause if you had two red phase you would usually end up with tons of red phase, but now its like some kind of a party mix litter :) hehe!

Richard,
Did you keep feeding your female or did you stop at some point? Mine was eating and then started to refuse. She went a few months and now would eat once a week if I let her. I've been feeder her about evry 14 days or so. I haven't heard anything about whether or not you should feed gravid ATBs or not. I've read that feeding red tails can be bad but I don't know about ATBs.
Cheers,
Trevor

Thanks Everyone for the kind words, this is my first aboreal litter and I am glad I went though the trouble to get them going. Mst of the babies shed out and look even better the the 24 hour old pics. I will have pics up latter (within a day or two). I have a full waiting list and the people on it will be very happy. As for trevor I just kept feeding her though her pregency and just waited her out. Thanks Everyone for your time and effort.
