I'd ask for a...Canon EOS-1D Mark II

Or maybe a...Kodak DCS SLR/c

heck...if price dosn't matter why not ask for a Mamiya 645AFD with 16 Megapixel Kodak DCS Pro Back.

those are all great cameras if you wanna fork out 2- 8 THOUSAND bucks....(btw Mike there's a 22MP back for mamiya's now :D) Michele if you want a really good camera for a good deal go with the Nikon D70 or D100 6MP ( i have the D100) but you can get a better deal with a D70 Outfit (with lens and all) http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2&productNr=25214 . If you dont want to go with a slr (you will need to buy seperate lenses with slr's) and you want something a bit easier to use go with the Nikon coolpix 8700 (has a 200 rebate on now $999-$799) great cam 8MP http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2&productNr=25515 yeah i like nikon, always used them never given trouble...hey if it aiint broke....

anyways whichever one you choose im sure you'd enjoy it.

BTW a GREAT site that i CONSTANTLY use is www.pricegrabber.com there has the BEST onlineprices..just be sure to research the seller. good luck

Ya, I would love to get my hands on a 22MP MF back. I would probably be afraid to use it...and just take pictures of it. ;)

Michele, check out www.dpreview.com they have specs for most available digital cameras.

The Minolta Dimage A1 is a great digital slr camera for under $1000. Can't interchange the lens tho:(. You should run a search and check it out.
