The wait was incredible - never ending - but finally this pair

are parents

first little tangerine nose out Monday and two boys and one girl have made their way out of the eggs by this morning!

All tangerines by the look of noses - not suprising that the ghost would likely be from a tangerine based hypo background since tri-color hypos are so rare.

Now just the wait for the other six to leave their eggs - they do seem to take their time! Big babies too - just hoping for more females!

Very nice Mary!

If all your hatchlings are tangerines, it would be safe to say the sire ghost is a tangerine. Anerys are from tri-color phenotype and so you could also hatch some tri-c's...

Interested in any trades?

Nice fat little hondurans, keep those pics coming!

Incredible Mary!!! I'll have to save my pennies and get some of these from you. Ghost hondos just look INCREDIBLE! I'd love to produce some in a few years.

Great Mary, I hope a ghost pops out. Congrats
I also found out that hondos seem to come out slower than others.

Four girls and two boys (I think - just first impression) out so far, so odds are looking good. They have all pipped and all are tangerines - big little devils - have taken a couple bites so far (from the girls, of course!)

Hope all will be out by tomorrow - and will get some better pics once they have shed,

Beautifull, is your avatar just an albino hondo?

Thanks for the comments everyone - I am so glad to have these guys out of the eggs!

Katt - I have had a hard time finding a 'going price' on het ghost, but like with any other double het they are pretty exciting with the potenial to produce hypo het anery as well as anery het hypo along with normals and the ultimate ghosts! Ghost hatchlings are around US$1000 still, with some of the pinstriped ones (wish I had those) going for more. I will likely keep back a female or two in hopes of breeding them to the other ghost male I have (if he ever decides to cooperate) - double het to morph breedings are the best in my opinion because you know exactly what the genotype of the morphs is (no possible hets from those!)

Colonel - the guy in my avitar is a tangerine albino honduran - most albino hondos are tricolor (orange, white and yellow) as the albino gene arose first in the tricolor hondos. It took a while to get it well established in the tangerine form so there are fewer tangerine albinos out there - this little guy is definately my favorite snake! Maybe he will be the proud papa next year!
