yeah, i just noticed that as well.. 19 away or something.
anyone know when/if we will ever get that next photo contest going???? where has jeff been? has he dropped off the face of the planet?
Jeff is away for work at the moment and won't be back for another week or so.. He'll be back around soon though..
6000 members... I wonder what number I was... LOL That is so awesome! =)
Samba.
I will guess #680.
If you hover your cursor over your ID, and look at the link, right near the end it says userid=XXX. I think XXX=the order that you signed up. In your case XXX=680. For Rikki, she is #5949. I am #2033.
I think we should go 'Stonecutter' style and refer to each other by number in the order we joined.
That's just my theory. Good day #680... ;)

wow thats great but how many are really active members and how many have never posted or ever came back to snakes? just a question.
Wow! We're over 6000 now! According to the member list, I was the 77th to join but my ID is 88.
Haha #2033, I like that idea!
#6030 - I agree that probably most of the people aren't as active as others... I know, for the most part, that I have been very active on this site for the last two years (except when I moved and didn't have a computer...) Still... it's impressive that so many people are all joined by our love, appreciation and ownership of herps. =)

#680:
I agree with what you say! I have a hunch that the extra numbers to our ID are the people that have been banned/deleted?
#3500 out.
(LOL.

CDN-Cresties, you are 1671, the link doesn't come up for me either, I have to right-click and go to properties.

You hover your mouse over your name or Avatar, and at the bottom of your internet screen, you will see in the progress area(same space as that little loading bar, but to the left) what your ID is.

#3500 - if the members are deleted or banned, wouldn't the numbers drop? Or do they just keep a record of how many people HAVE joined, regardless of their current status?.. Oh well, it's still pretty neat to see that many people are/were interested in this site! =)

According to the members section 2274 users have never made a post. LOL, I just wasted about 20 mins figuring that out.
LOL #5755 It's not even half, so I guess that's pretty cool... why would someone join a site and never post? Anyways, how did you get this interesting stat? Just curious ;)

Basically they just clog your computer.
I found my stat by going to yhe members section and clicking on the top ten posters bit, then viewing the last page and working my way to the front page by page untill I found someone with a post. Took alot longer than I thought.
PS - This is my 100th post
OHHHH LOL! Hey - don't you mean 108th post? hehehe =)
I'm at... let's see.... 823?
Yup, 823! (Thought I had more than that... LOL)

Or people could join, but only read posts and not really make them. Maybe they're computer shy? :D
i Just wish they would be more active....
Computer shy? LMAO I *used* to be a chat queen... I don't know how anyone could be 'shy' over a computer... oh well... their prerogative... =)

Well, I think that there are many members who make a few posts and then people yell/abuse them verbally and they never come back to the site. I have just seen that in a large and frequented thread today.

I have seen that quite a few time but not so much at sSNAKESs. Others like k-snake (the venomous forum especually) can be downright nasty. At least our 'abuse' here was honest and meaningful conversation, free from personal attack (if were thinking of the same thread, that is). I think we're lucky at sSNAKESs to have a freindly and knowledgable group of members. Hopefully people won't feel unappreciated or intimidated. I remember a recent post in the varanid section where a new member made a post that maybe should have been a PM and rather than leading to persicution it became a very interesting thread. I hope sSNAKESs members will continue to display the qualities that make this site as great as it is.
I can't believe some people think THIS website is bad.
Have you been ANYWHERE else on the internet in the past few years?!?!?!?!
LOL this site has NOTHING on verbal abuse. It's kindergarden around here in comparision. Ah well, people are never happy.
