going to roche lake tonight

hey i have a question for BC people. im going to roche lake for a couple days tonight. ive been there once before and caught many garter snakes around the lake itself and lots of frogs, but this time id like to find some other snake species. does anyone know of any places relatively close to roche lake to find snakes? id particularly like to see some gopher snakes, but any species is good. thanx in advance.
