As you can tell by me sig I don't know what sex my Water dragon or my Uro are. Is there a way to tell if they are males or females?? Thanks!

Ok my uro has some pores (assumeing they look just like leos pores) but does not seem to have any bulges. Also what size do uros have to be in order to sex them??

They need to be a round 8+ months I would imagine.....not an uro expert

It is quite obvious to tell because uro males have big bulges and the pores shows a lot.

I will be honest, I know nothing about water dragons but I have 20 uromastyx in my home both adults and babies. They aren't easy to sex. Assuming yours are adults the male will have larger pores that secrete a hard waxy substance. during the breeding season the pores appear comb like. Males also tend to be bulkier with a comparetivley larger head than the female. Often the males are also more brightly coloured but not always. Can you post a pic of your uro?

Can you also post a pic of the top of your uro, and what size is he? Do you know how old he is?
It's definitely easiest to tell the sex of an adult.

It's about 8 or 9 inchs nose to tip of tail. Age wise I have NO idea at all.

To me, it looks like a female perhaps, but I'll tell you that this is JUST A GUESS! It's REALLY hard to tell using photos. So, I'm not guaranteeing it!
Also, I think it's probably still a bit young to tell for sure!
Either way, it's definitely a cutie-pie!

And if your water dragon has turquoise bands on its body its a male.

Color doesnt mean much with water dragons, as far as sexing goes.. Size is a big factor, males are much bulkier. Males also have a nucheal crest on their head, looks like a big bump, or a "fin".

Also look for pores, much more noticable on a male.
