Baby Bolivian Boas have arrived

Well it was raining like crazy last night and I came down to check on the female Bolivian and nothing. I sprayed her down with water and went up stairs to have a coffee and came back down about 20 minutes later and this is what I saw.

I missed another one. LOL

First Canadian born and bred Boa constrictor amarali.

13 live 0 slugs or stillborn.

Some are almost solid pink, mom is a redsided Bolivian and dad is the classic silverback color. About half of the babies are very red/pink but this is the best one.

You can see the silver baby right next to the pink one. It is hard to capture their true colors but I should have some better pics once they shed out.

Congrats man, I knew they were coming and the you having great success this year only meant these were going be Canadian soon enough. Love the litter and the colors and the crisp patterns of course.

Bolivians have always been my favorite in all redtail family, right infront of Brazilian and Peruvian. Lots of USA breeders carry some of the most amazing of these and now Canada has something to brag about finally.

Congrats on the hard work and this project, it came at a perfect time but kills me that I can not jump into this. Someone already tapped my 2004 Canada budget....wink wink. Maybe we can work something out, hmmmm.

My hat is off to you Sir. You're the real deal Dan. You should be very proud. There are not very many people who can claim Canadian first. I pay attention to these things and I think they carry a lot of weight with them in the market place. People remember this sort of stuff when it comes time to invest in a quality project.
