eggs colapsed..how long till pip

I have 2 leopard gecko eggs incubating and they have collapsed from underneath and almost not at all from the top. Is this a sign that they are going to hatch..their still very white. If it is, how long do I have until they hatch? Thanks!

Uh, not that I'm an expert, but that sounds bad to me... I could be wrong, but if they look good just leave them. They may need more moisture to rehydrate. Hope this helped, and good luck with them!

I've never noticed any of my leo eggs collapsing before they hatch, the sweat a bit sometimes but thats about it.

I am beginning to conclude that there was not enough vermiculite so I added more moist verm. under the egg in hopes to get it rehydrated. Do you suggest dropping a tiny bit of water on the actual egg itself?

I don't think it would hurt to mist the eggs, but I wouldn't suggestion dropping water on them... It sounds like they need to rehydrate... how old are the eggs??? Hope this helps!

Im not to sure as I didnt think they would be fertile so I didnt bother remembering the date, but I would say their at 5 weeks if not more.

the ones that i hatched have never caved in at all so i thinks they are right it's either infertile or going bad

Just don't toss them until they get all brown and moldy, then you know FOR SURE, without a doubt that those eggs are bad. It could be they just need more humidity. Keep a close eye on them!

I will, and there's no way I throw any eggs out until they are really stinky and done for :)

Wet paper towel, and cover the eggs with them.
make sure you wring out the towel till it feels almost dry.
