Smallest milk we had was a Louisiana - under 2 feet as a yearling, grey background dark burgundy saddles. Sorry I have no pics of her - was quite a while ago - she died unexpectedly at just over a year of age. They stay quite small, was a very reclusive snake but a good feeder, no aggression.

Mexican milksnakes are also small - this male is an adult and barely 3 feet long - very pretty, intense colors and no tendency to black stippling so colors remain rich for life - narrow bands are commonly white - but some strains are orange like this guy. They are shy, very easy keepers, never bite.

Of the smaller kings, the variable kings, durango mountain kings and san luis potosi (all related and simliar) are my favorites - not much over 3 feet at maturity, wonderful calm temperaments and gorgeous color. These guys feed well, never bite and are almost as pretty as grey banded kings without the difficulty getting established. They are also quite active, out in the open a lot, like to climb and quite a visible pet compared to many of the milks. The variables come in pure black too, but I am not fortunate enough to own one of those!

they really do grow on you - addictive hobby - we didn't like milks or kings when we started with snakes because of their head shape and now we have way too many!

Male pueblans usally are only a little over 24 inches, the look awesome but if not handled to often they will musk on you and are skittish, but I have never heard of anyone getting bit by them.

Sorry I don't have a pic.....

Kevin: Both male and female Pueblans will regularly
attain 2.5 - 3 feet.

Most all milks will musk as hatchlings but grow out of it with moderate handling. Check out this link for a varity of other milks with pics.

Brian - he is a nice one isn't he - almost as nice as some of those baby hondurans on your web page! Those more recently hatched are pretty nice - lots to choose from!

Two have shed thus far and are sexed. My site will be updated this evening.

What other milks do you have Mary? Other than the hondos.

my favorite king is the mexican black. mine is super irredescent solid black, and my friendliest snake. she seems to actually enjoy human attention. in general they are hardy and calm, and usually smaller than other getula. my favorite milk would be a sinaloan, because of their size and the amount of bright red on them. they also are hardy and personable, and very active.

Brian - that mexican above that is headed to you is the last of our milks other than the hondos - I had to force myself to focus and hondurans were definite favorites of the milks - the genetic possibilities are just too much fun! Would love to get some central plains, utahs or to get a louisiana again though - the smaller, less dramatically colored millks are very pretty in thier own way.
