hey all. im getting my icbc settlement pretty soon and the first thing i plan to do is go on a 3 week vacation. im pretty sure im going to a place called roatan. its a small island off the coast of honduras. a friend of mine has rich parents and they recently purchased 600 acres there to build a bunch of stuff. i did some searching on the net and found some pics. it looks like a beuatiful place and im pretty sure thats where im going. my question to you all is what kind of herps can i find there? i read that hogg island boas are native to roatan but its my understanding that theyre extinct in the wild. does anyone know anything about their native reptiles? any info or links would be much appreciated.

Takes lots of pictures and post them :) :)

I'm not sure about any sites with info about Honduran reptiles, but there are a few good general Caribbean sites.
You might get some info at these sites:

Database of West Indian ampibianss and reptiles (http://evo.bio.psu.edu/caribherp/)

Best bet the one I'd check first is Father Sanchez's Web Site of West Indian Natural History at http://www.*ingsnake.com/westindian *substitute k for the * It might look like a religious site, but it's not. It just happens the webmaster is a priest, but he sure know his reptiles.
