View Full Version : towels in tank w/snake?
I would like to know if it is ok to put a small towel in with the snake. It would be used as a hiding place. I have a 24" Ball Python. Any thoughts?

umm, yeah i dont see why not. i think it would be more of a hassle for you though. like, if he pooped on it, you would have to disinfect it and wash it and stuff.

I have one in my little red tails enclosure. She is laying in it right now. So I would so feel free.

It is perfectly safe too put a towel in and would probably be great for when she goes into shed just remove the towel wet it and put it back for a humid hide. I actually went out not too long ago and picked up a few big towels too use as an alternative too Astroturf in my boa cage’s. And my boa’s use it too hides during shed.
For my ball python I too one of those 10 gallon buckets and cut the bottom 4 inches off then cut a whole a big as the widest part of her body. Actually I cut the plastic with a blowtorch the melting caused nice smooth edges. Makes a great hide.
