View Full Version : Bad news
When my Veild cham was a little lad he had signs of MBD so i took him to the vet, he got a calcium injection and he turned out fine. Recently, about a year and 1/2 later, he was having similar symptoms so i took him back to the vet. He was very weak, couldn't climb his branches and was just laying at the bottom of his enclosure. The vet gave him another calcium injection and sent him home. It turns out, my lamp that i was using was over a year old and should've been replaced a long time ago. I feel so bad about not noticing how old it was. He died last night. I don't know what to do, i feell terrible. I guess this is just a warning to all you cham owners...replace your blubs. It's so sad.

So sorry to hear this bad news. I can relate, as I recently lost one of my little girls.
I personally try my best to replace my bulbs every 6-10 months. With the companies screwing you left and right on pricing, it does make it difficult somtimes. I know bulbs in my area went on sale a while ago and I bought like 10 - lol.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My sister lost hers through neglegence. Best thing for you to do would be to buy a new one! Live and learn, ask and learn, both work the same. Bounce back by raising a new healthy cham. Good luck
Thanks! I was actually thinking the same thing. There will be a reptile expo coming to my area in october. This will give me enough time to figure out what kind i'd like. I was leaning towards a jackson. I've always been drawn to their horns. Any other suggestions?
