Hey folks, starting from the interest expressed in this post (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49818) , I thought it should be brought here.

I don't know where to start off, so let's let it flow :)

- How far would you be willing to travel to a herp society meeting?
- how many are interested in a southwestern ONT. herp group?
- how bout some info on yourself/experience/etc?
- any ideas on how to get started?

mmm, hope thats a good start.

Me: I'm Chris and I've been into herps for a reletively short time ( under 3yrs ). I keep both lizards and snakes.

I live in Strathroy, where thankfully we have no bylaws concerning reptiles, and I hope we don't get any of the silly ones.

I'd be willing to travel 30-45mins or so to meetings.

I'd be willing to help out where I can, however I can.

Yep, definately interested in a local group.

I live in London and am definitely interested in organizing a group. I think you're taken the first step Chris by asking for names. Once we can gather a list, we can arrange for a meeting time and place. Then we see what progresses...

I'd be willing to travel 30 min (unless there is food involved, then I'll go further :D)

I have 3 years experience too and currently keep 7 snakes - boids and colubrids.

Only 26 views? There must be more interest than just us two!

Can a Mod move/copy this thread into the General Discussion Forum? It would be very much appreciated. :)

Depending on where it is, I'd love to come, I'm in Mississauga.
I don't have any herps **yet**, lol, still trying to convince my parents...

Great idea!
