Hi i live in Southwestern Virginia and i was wondering if anyone knew of the rattlesnake population because i go field herping almost everyday and i have never seen a live rattlesanke. I hear of dumbass peolpe who have killed some and of people seeing them in the road in the past ans some now but all of my herp and i havent found one it would probably or definatly be the highlight of my young herping experince

If you live in southwest VA, then you definitely have timbers there. I just read not too long ago that timbers are doing quite well in that part of the state. (for now, anyways)

I'd say keep looking in areas where there arent many people, and where there are alot of rocky ledges and such.
