The "OddsGods" b*tchslapped me!

Went to the incubator two days ago expecting eggs to be pipping and they were. 5 beautiful eggs that were from a pastel to normal breeding. Yay! I'm expecting 2 maybe 3 pastels (My first Normal to pastel breeding garnered me 2 female pastels, a male pastel, and two normal girls; not bad odds. Got giddy after them not leaving the egg for two days, so I cut a window. This is what I saw:

Don't complain! I had an 11 egg clutch give me 1 Pastel last year! OUCH!

Yep, same here Mykee. Last 2 clutches, 15 eggs, 3 Pastels. 2.1.

Sucks, but when it evens out, its sweeeeeeet! Let's just hope it evens out, LOL!!! :D

Hey, I hope the Gods are keeping my pastel count low to even me up with my last clutch. 7 eggs: 5 pastels, 3 females, 2 males, and the rest 'plain ones' all female het albinos... I can dream!!

Ditto. Even though my first clutch of 5 garnered me 1.2 pastels and 0.2 normals. Congratulations. My clutch above (Clutch #2) gave me 4.1 babies, with the lone pastel being the female.

I hear ya man! I split a clutch with Bristen this year. He got the males I got the females, all 50% poss het albino. The only clutch of 4 eggs ended up 3.1. The Gods of Odds peed on me on that one.

What about Jacks clutch?

Trevor, seems that the clutch I just had hatch may have been a mixed clutch, (I kinda thought it might be) Jack and my breeder pastel male. I threw him in with his Mom early on, for a day, before breeding him to another female (who didn't take) and they must have locked up. I can only surmise this from the markings of some of the babies, and the poor ratio of normal:pastel.

Trev, I'm pretty sure that there is nothing to Jack, just a cool looking normal. Him bred to his mother would have given me something weird looking, but that was a no-show.
