took some shots of my female boehmei while cleaing out my quarantine enclosures today... She's come quite a ways fromt he pencil lizard I got her in as... she probably weights eight times as much as when she first arrived(probably mostly water weight-she was horribly dehydrated). So, here she is... she's much more colorful/patterned than the male, but I love the male for his personality...
Thanks for looking, I'll cool off now... no more pics for a while friends.....
Cheers, have a great day...

thanks for the kind words everyone. Does anybody else here keep tree monitors?
I enjoy working with my collection. I have invested a lot in them(I'm not talking about money), and they are worth all the work involved in their upkeep. I usually spend about 2-3 hours with them each day, cleaning/feeding/ and observing them. It's like another part time job... Doesn't leave much time for anything else... Maybe I'll win the lottery someday and will be able to just work with my lizards full time...
By the way, does anybody here keep laces or mertens? Those are two fascinating animals that i would love to keep one day(not any time soon...).
Anyways, take care, and thanks for the nice words... Tata for now, here's one parting pic for you...

Are you coresponding with Mike at Mikes Monitors? I believe he is having as much fun with his trees as you are.
Scott
I don't keep any tree monitors at the moment... just have a sav atm and getting a trio of red ackies soon... I am definitely interested in getting a prasinus a few years down the line though.
And this last's pic's a macraei, right?
Hi Bob,

Yes, I've talked to Mike Stefani on many occasions; he's a really great guy. He no longer keeps his tree monitors, all except for his similis i believe... If anybody ever wants to start up a roach colony, he's the guy to talk to...
Here's a followup from the last pic... enjoy
