It's a wonderful day 50 for these eggs! :P

Got a pic to show a differance in size between a couple of them....

Doesn't seem to big of a difference in the photo but the little eggs are FAR smaller than the biggest ones.

You can see all the ones on the right hand side are smaller, while all on the left are bigger. Purely coincidence though, as I rotate this thing around once in awhile, and since the beginning a couple eggs have been moved around for pics and such.

I am curious what size babies will come out of the small eggs VS. the biggest ones. Last year all my babies were equal in size.

Very interesting. Its always intriguing to see that babies that hatch from the different sized eggs. Anybody have any idea why the eggs develop to different sizes? Or do you think its just they develop till they are done, with not much regulation on size(besides the space they fit in). Marisa, what are those little silvery star-like things on those eggs? Thanks for the pic!

Very neat Marisa - amazes me how much size difference there can be and how hard it is to see it in pictures when it is so obvious in person.

I have a similar clutch this year - two tiny eggs, but both have veins and appear to be developing. Couple other breeders suggested that they had gotten very tiny babies from such eggs in the past - hard to get feeding but other than that, normal. I am looking forward to mine hatching - (the two at the top of the pic are smaller - about half the size of normals)

Wow those are some nice looking eggs Mary! Last year her eggs looked nice like that. This year I guess she didn't get enough minerals or something ??? I have started supplementing her though to hopefully correct the issue.

The stars are just the way they came out LOL Pretty neat though! Last year the eggs seemed to have almost a crosshatching pattern on them, so tiny though you could barely see it.

Mary,

Those eggs looks good and nice to me. I'd say that they'll be able to hatch out. (Just incase you didn't know what I was talking about...I am talking about those tiny eggs~~)
