If you have a substrate that you do not want to snake to ingest do you put a small bowl with the food in it? Then, do they eat the food out of the container.
If so what type of container do you use?
or do you put the snake in a totally different container with the food in it?
sorry for all of the questions!
any help would be appreciated (i would love to see pics of your feeding boxes)
thanks

i feed my snakes in a separate enclosure, such as a rubber maid or storage bin, with the exception of one individual, cuz he lives on newspaper anyway.

If I have loose substrate in a cage I simply just offer a dry rodent, on a paper plate. It has worked well for me so far.

thanks a bunch.
for the people who move the snake into a different conatianer:
doesn't the snake get stressed from the move and not want to eat? especially a new/ young snake?

babies eat in their enclosures. none of my snakes are prob feeders, and i leave them in the eating container for a while before returning them to prevent regurge.

or just lay newspaper or a piece of carpet on the substrate for feeding if you don't want to move them out of the cage.
