Guelph just offers a course of herpetology...! So you'd only get 1 credit.. or even 0.5 of a credit if it's half year. There's no actual program or anything, unfortunately! (At Guelph or in Ontario, anyway... I never looked in to schools outside of Ontario!!) ... Haha, or you could go to Murdoch University in Western Australia I think. But I'm guessing that'd get a little too pricey.. hmm..

yeah from i've heard, there's no such thing as a herpetology degree. it's considered too specific to be a degree in itself. you can specialize in herpetology, but thats about it. its not just ontario, i think it's like that all over north america. a lot of places offer a course or two in a zoology degree but nothing else.
so the best way to go about becoming a herpetologist is to go to Toronto University and take Zoology and major in herpetology, they're supposed to have one of the best programs around, plus the co-op is at the Toronto Zoo.
I've looked into this all before, but it takes top notch grades to get into this course, hence why I didn't go...
