Thanks guys!
All my work is done by Chris Moniz of Lower East Side Tattoos located here in Scarborough. He's a wonderfull artist and really takes his time with details (painfully so....five hours for the versicolor....I felt each and EVERY hair)!
Unfortunately I don't have pics of any of my other ink, my sleeve isn't finished yet and I don't think your very much interested in skulls and other Lovecraft type work.

Yve: Your arm is just amazing....makes me feel nekked:D

Here's my leg & my first 2 tattys. I'm currently getting the back of my leg done to go with them. Its big stone archways with a big full moon & a bunch of lightning. I have all of the lining & most of the blackwork done on it & can't wait for the color shading to start happening. Heres the front side anywhore. Mark

Linds.... I love your tattoos!! Did you design them yourself? I especially love the simplicity of your wrist/forearm tattoo. Beautiful!
I've got a number of tattoos on my lower arms and both hands. I will submit pics when I can borrow a camera. My finger tattoos were especially painful but very much worth it.
Tattoos are ~very~ addicting, yes? ;)

Thanks everyone! My Halloweenie tat was a very rough sketch of my ideas redrawn and tattooed by Justin Winstanely of Belmont Tattoo. He also is doing the work on my arm which is being drawn by my friend Tristyn. I have settled on him as my artist and am very pleased. I drew the one on my wrist myself and it was tattooed by Andie who was formerly of Sacred Flash tattoo until shortly after she sold it. My back tat, nothing impressive, but was done by Bob Paulin who also does some amazing work which can be seen on bme and in just about any tattoo mag you pick up. I don't like drawing my own tats, I get too caught up in my head and frustrated with them, so now I just work with other people in doing so.
lots of nice ink on this thread! its always a pleasure to see peoples creative side!
Linds! you've been keeping the artists busy I see! nice new back piece!
Joe, I've said it once (or twice) or maybe more:)...and I'll say it again..that tribal is awesome.
thanks Jenn, only problem now is that my other arm looks so bare..I feel lopsided:D Please do post the Lovecraft type work and skull sleeve beginings when you get some pics...love to see some

Wow -- you all have some amazing tatts!
Astrozombie, that thing is simply amazing -- I've never seen one so life-like before! Which quite frankly rather freaks me out, because I don't like spiders... lol... but, absolutely killer tattoo :)
Linds, I really like your halloweenie one -- very cool! Looks like some awesome work, can't wait to see pics when it's all done!
Joe, that's an awesome tribal :D But, you already knew that I love it, so.... lol.
Mark, that's got to be a LOT of work put into that one... very nice!
Choke, that's really cool! Very nice design... I'm thinking of getting something similar for my next one... just need to come up with something I like... lol...
One of these days, I'll manage a decent pic of my tattoo and post it on here :p I haven't quite mastered the skill of taking pictures of my own back... lol... until then, great tats everyone, keep the pics coming!

awesome tats Jughead, the whales are a beautiful piece! who designed them? I would like to have a tattoo designed for my best friend down in N.O. she's Ojibwa and wants a haida styled tattoo of a whitefish but hasn't been able to find an artist able to design a suitable piece....I'd like to have it designed for her and get the tat done for her birthday.

Yve, thanks a bunch... :D and thats some sweet work you have done on your sleeve also... The guy who disigned and did my haida whales works out of a place called Reactive Ink located in Toronto near kensington market (416)204-1657 his name is Rob Macdonald and is a wicked artist and a stellar guy to boot!!! Haida is one of his favs to do, he also does haida carvings and paintings in his spare time and would be thrilled to draw up and do a haida piece for your friend... Well must say your a wicked friend for sure can't beat a tatty for a killer b-day present thats for sure... Hope this helps end your search... Cheers!!!

im will have my tattoo done before the next expo for sure but the problem is that most tattoos of snakes that i see are some what boyish and i really would love to get either a tribal snake or a cobra done, but i would like one that has a bit more girly look to it......:(

Done by Mike Austin in London. It's a gargoyle. I've always appreciated aesthetics in architecture. I like tattoos that compliment the shape of the body as well. Holy, I just thought about it, I've had it for 8 years, whew!

Of course not. That's your design. I was just thanking you for posting it. I'd never seen a bp tat before. Tats are unique, and if someone copied any of mine I'd be pissed. It actually sucks that you think I would copy it, but whatever....... it's a nice tat.
Sorry!! I opologize Dave. I just didnt understand what you ment.
You can see in my lion tatto...which is a cover up... a black panther in his main. I got it coverd up because a guy friend of mine got the same one in the same place and thought it was SO cool that we had the same one!!! OMG!! I was not happy about it to say the least. I was happy when I had the opportunity to cove it up.
So, sorry again Dave... :) Take care

Hey, great tats everyone!
Teresa, Tim and I will only get our work done at Genesis. Rob is a genius with the ink! His wife, Jeannette, is also very talented. They were still in the home studio when you got that done, right? They have since gotten retail space and share it with a piercing artist. :D:D
I hope to get some more work done very soon, hopefully by the end of the summer. The only problem is trying to stay out of the sun here, and with this killer heat I don't know if I can do it just yet! lol There are a few designs I'd like on my back, and a partial sleeve. Guess we'll have to see.

Black Panthers are standard old school flash & there are probably 1000's of people with them on their shoulders, easily. I have personally saw 100's on people. Just another reason never to get "Flash" tattoed on you & always go custom. When I was a teenager I saw one buddy I know do dozens of the exact same designs on people & quite often in the same spots. My one buddy flipped when his little bro showed up with the exact same Tatty in the exact same spot at a party one night LOL Practice makes perfect eh, LOL Mark
P.S. Custom, Custom , Custom & go big or stay home!!!! IMHO
well i've done it again...thanks to Jugheads recommendation...I originally planned on getting a tattoo designed for a friend...which i did but i was so pleased with the this artists haida art that I had a bat designed for me....
the first pic is a preliminary drawing which to my surprise he only used as a guideline....he drew the tattoo freehand onto my back.
haha...this tat was supposed to cover my neck only....guess we went a little overboard:D...but i'm pleased so far...and can't wait to have it completed...

Looks good Yve! Funny you should revive this thread just as I'm finishing "shedding" from the touch ups on my leg after being "socked out". I'll have to get some pics up also. Is your piece going to be just blackwork or the black/red or what? Looks nice so far, Mark

Yve, I'm super glad that your happy with Dr. Rob's work I'm always quick to send people to him as he is an amazing artist and a stellar guy to deal with... Your bat that I'm guessing he is working on for you is killer for sure... be sure to post pics of the finished product as I would love to see them... Also if you could do me a favour and tell Rob that Jason will be in to see him soon to get some work done as it's been way tooooooooo long that would be killer... ;)
Cheers!!!!
Awesome looking tat, Yve! LOL... just a little bigger than the back of your neck :p It's definitely an easy thing to run with though :p
thanks guys:)....
Linds, I figured why set boundaries for artistic ingenuity...;)
Boundaries...heh..yah....they are being easily broken down with a sharp needle and a skilled hand...hehe
Jason, I'll be posting pics of the finished product..indeed.
I'm getting it finished next Saturday night...I can't wait...feel like a kid in a candy store:D
I'll certainly give Rob a heads up that you'll be in to see him..
Mark, if you look at the drawing..you'll see two haida creatures...the bat and in his belly a mosquito....Rob's doing the mosquito in red and the bat with blue. The mosquito was a surprise for me...I had no idea he was adding it to the work but it adds to the significance of the tattoo in relation to my life. So I'm very pleased he included it in the design.
