I got an adult male patternless leopard gecko today to go along with my adult female high yellow leopard and my sub adult female ghost leopard gecko:)
The tip of his tail his slightly kinked but, he still looks great!

The tail kink is actually a trait among patternless leos. Every one I have ever seen has had one, and all of my babies do as well. People say it is from the constant inbreeding that occured to produce this morph, but wouldn't all leos have something similar then? Ah, who knows!:D Nice leo.

Julie I guess we'll find out if ALL patties have kinked tails when mine have babies:)

i have pattys WITH OUT the kinked tail i think its from breeders doing too much inbreeding and no new blood.

None of my patternless have them. If you outcross a generation, you can 'clean' the genes again. The tail kink almost always disappears once this is done. It's a result of too much inbreeding, line breeding etc, so leos with kinked tails should only be bred to make hets.

A ghost leopard gecko is a leo of any morph that is dull in colour.
it is in "The Leopard Gecko Manual"

Well my two patternless are in no way related, and I have babies with kinked tails. I know many other breeders with unrelated pairs who have the same thing in their patties. I have out crossed them many times and it still results in kinks. So, who knows, maybe we are just unlucky here in BC. :D

Ghosts exhibit faded coloration and even the black spots are dull. They appear to be in constant shed their whole lives.
