Everyone was so interested in this little guy. thanks for the positive feedback and concern.
Thought I'd let you know he and many siblings chowed down on good size pinks last night.
They aren't even a week old yet..
For any that didn't see my last post, this is the smallest hognose I have ever produced or seen. It hatched from an egg about the size of a blueberry.
It weighs 2 grams, but luckily they have huge mouths... It took it a couple of hours but it swallowed this big pinkie backwards.

Holy moly! I can't believe that thing.

Knit it a sock, with all that little body mass I'm sure he gets cold.

Viva Micro Hog!

Very cool little guy...

2 grams?!?

I can't even imagine a snake that small. What do they normally average(or what did the clutch average)...?

Good to hear he's doing well...

When I was a kid, back before the wheel & the internet and all (lol), I was the proud recipient of a litter of baby
Dekaye snakes(Northern Browns)....You wanta see small...thats small
they are born live about the length of a straight pin and the width of a garden centipede. I'm sure they are under 1 gram.
And yes they ate for me..very tiny worms..
but I let them all go. (early cottage life in the Kawarthas)
