Today i saw on TV the trailer for the film "Crocodile". I don't know if it is a movie or a screenplay but as it appears there, they depict crocodiles as terrifying creatures who quench for blood, chassing humans and terrifying everyone that is close to them. Here in Greece we don't have any kind of Crocodile club but if there is something like that in Canada and/or in US, why don't we send our complains with our names on it? They have no right to represent the crocodiles like that.
What do you think?

I guess you wouldn't like the Anaconda, Python, Komodo etc. movies either then or ones such as Arachniphobia or Tarantula or so on. Fortunately most people realize that Hollywood is make believe & those that don't probably believe "old wives tales" irreguardless of silly movies anyhow Heh Heh Mark

yeah, no reason to complain, If people beleive everything they see on movies, their obviosly too stupid to listen to reason.

But with movies like that they influence the common oppinion, they shape consciences on children. Those children tomorrow will grow up and they will have a distort image about "what crocodile is".

i disagree concept3, i have so many people come in who think bearded dragons are viscious, poisonous and whatever else that crappy movie 'Holes' made them out to be. i won't even watch that movie.
same with virtually any snake, like some people think ball pythons are venomous.. *sigh*
while a 'person' may be smart, 'people' are just plain dumb. seems the more people there are in a mob, the lower the general I.Q.w drops

What about the movie "Jaws" is that also bad? I say let them do what they want, the general public isn't going to be swayed too much in either direction. Can you imagine a movie where a "cute and cuddly" pet snake lured thousands of people into getting one? I think that their opinion would not change too much unfortunately.

They should pack a bonus DVD with those movies, with a Ultimate Guide from discovery or something, so people can watch the real lifestyle of those animals.
Just an idea :D

Jaws isn't bad. Its bad in the portrayal of sharks, but Dreyfuss' character was pro-shark, and it was directed by Spielberg. SPIELBERG. Has the guy made a bad movie? Nope.

Before crocodile there was Anaconda, Reptilian , Komodo , Python , etc etc. . I really don't think these movies did anything to diminish the ever growing reptile trade. I would bet that the number 1 viewers of these movies were people that had pet reptiles . The budgets on these movies are low and no one with any common sense would take these movies seriously.
