Last weekend with the ball & Rings clutches came those. 27 babies 6 slugs and 5 stillborn babies. Last year the mother gave 4 magnificent babies ( some of you have three of them ) and some weird pattern stillborns. It is 100% pure HogIsland line , They were originaly exported from the u.s by Tom Crutchfield a long time ago as WC or F1 farm hatched babies they were originaly 6. They went to a guy out west Rick ...... then they went east to Northbay to another guy who bought them and then sold them some time later to Shawn Parker in Toronto . I bought them from him when he finaly decided to sell them.

Here's some pics of the parents....

The Male...

The slugs and stillborns. with 11 more potential babies the count would have been 38 babies....

The litter, there's some killer pale and bright ones in the lot I'll take pics when they shed....

Last year I had a bunch of slugs ( My fault by the way ) 4 live very nice ones and a few like those. I didint make a big deal of it because stillborns have all sorts of weird patterns and colorations some times. Now this year the stillborns were normal looking and 4 of the 27 have the same pattern like last year stillborns. In my mind this suggests that it is genetic. I'll see what she gives next year and i'll rear back the four to breed between themselfs and the parents.

A pic of number one....Its like a reverse stripe with reduced pattern on the sides what you think? I never saw any other others does anyone heard or saw something like those? I'de be glad to hear about it.

The fourth ....
Sorry low battery in cam...I'll post more pics when they shed anyways. I'll post some of the colombians that i kept for the show... I'm over the 200 mark with the boas & there's more to come. Another interesting project is the pastel suri's and guyana's ...I just hope they dont give me slugs.

Well thats it for now thanks for viewing and i hope you like.

Wow. That reverse stripe or whatever that is ROCKS! I'm not sure calling it that even does it justice, it's more of an obliterated pattern I think, crazy though whatever it is.

It seems logical to think that if these same sort of abberations showed in two successive clutches from the same parent animals that the trait is inheritable. I guess we can all only hope so until these oddballs grow up and are bred. Good luck!

Congrats! Very cool indeed. Those abberant babies are awesome too. If memory serves, a few years ago someone was selling some hogs that had similar pattern to them back in the ks (american) classifieds a few years ago. I might have a pic saved somewhere on disc, if I can find it I will post it.

Hey PM Herps has produced Hogs here in the US that look very similar to those. They are calling them reduced pattern and have proven them to be genetic.

Those are AMAZING looking hogs! It definately seems that the abberancies are genetic. I can't wait to see what is produced when bred together!

Kyle....
Will you be letting any of those reverse stripes go??

I'm not sure what i'm gonna do yet. My first thought is keeping them and see if they get any better with breeding. I already had some really interesting offers for other boa morphs and Ball morphs and i'm looking through them....

JDouglas....

Thanks for the info I apreciate it;) We'll see with more generations if they are the same.

Thanks Linds;) I,de really love to see those pics were they the same like those at Pmherps?

Clownfishie...
Definitely post pics of those guys after they shed...

I'll post some for sure;) I'll post some of other boas to ( as soon as I get some time off ) i already posted 5 colombians that I kept to bring to the show in september in my gallery...On some of the them the pastel colouration starts to show in the white of their tales if you take a closer look.;) They are possible pastels. ( female 03 is already sold ) .

Hey guy's;)

Dave68
its been a long time i didint post on the forum. I'm very busy right now, snakes and everything, I'm gonna make a trip to the u.s probably next week to inspect an adult pair of snow's. I'll post some updated pics of the hogs and others like the F1 hypo centrals, and some new stuff that is comming in and that will be breeding soon ;) Please be patient I'm really overloaded......

Boachic....
Its not impossible I have papers for B.C.I's;) But those are all keepers + some that have partial abberancies...

BoidsUnlimited as I said to boachic unfortunatly i'm keeping them all. I'm probably gonna send one to the states to see if its compatible with another line similar to these..... we'll see what comes out in the futur. For sure i'm breeding them again this year and if i get more they will be for sell. If you wanna talk about it anyways it will be a pleasure send me an e-mail at faune@videotron.ca and make sure you specify HogIsland in case the e-mail is flushed.

Simon ... Thanks my friend;)

See you all soon!
