Ok well i finaly went out to spend money on leo stuff(i say finaly cause its an hour away) i bought the leo manual(ron tremper n other dudes wrote it),bought silkies...There gone :D Leo loved those,i bought few things of mealies, and matt_b told me i should get super worms so went to get them i bought them 25 cents each though,so i only got 5...i go in the car i start checking the "super" worms out and im seing these teeth on em,pretty big and im thinking woah i look under the thing i got them in "KING WORMS"...These guys were really big that i got,I dunno if i should feed them to my leo,My leos 7.2-5 inches long basicaly an adult...should i feed my leo them???One time She ate a super worm in the past it bit her toe and it bled but recovered perfectly(it just bled it wasnt hanging or anything) so i dunno what a kind will do...what should i do???

Don't worry, they can eat those without any problems. They almost all the time grab it by the head and you will realise this bud doesn't even bite when you squeeze it anyhow.

ok few thats a relief, but ive fed her this once b4,she ate them but i guess since she was about 4-3 months younger it traumatized her for a while and i couldnt get her to eat mealies for a while, well thx,oh and Siretsap I saw that you live in quebec do you recomend any pet stores with low prices and etc just out of curiosity

I wouldn't worry about the size as long as your leo is a sub-adult. I raise my own supers and have tiny ones that even 3 months old leos can manage without a problem.

Here's Anne, the most superworm addicted leo I've ever had, showing how to handle superworms like a pro.

They have comepletely different needs. Mealies need dry substrate where as supers need moist.

No,no,no i mean in the bowl can i have the mealies in the same feeding dish as kings? Also yesterday night,i tried to see if my leo would eat it,i think she remembers the last time she ate them...shes in the mealie dish as usual at 1 am so i take a king worm and toss it in the dish her head switches directly at it she stares...stares...goes into her hide! Then i tried queezing the end of the kingworms tail and it was wiggling like crazy infront of her...i think shes to traumatized to eat kings...:(

You captured Anne's "hunting face" beautifully. How adorable is that? =D

In the wild a leo can take down a scorpian, I wouldn't worry about the worms.

All my leo's get mealworms or king worms as a staple and i toss a few crix in once or twice a week....i try to stay away from giving my leo's supers as they are a lot more pricey

just my two cents,
sheldon

Superworms might cost more, but they're more economical in the long run. One full sized super is equivalent to approximately 8-10 mealworms, possibly 12. That means 2 supers can be a full meal.

Well yesterday she went for one but only got its head the thing wiggles out of her mouth and onto the sand she was still going for it but i picked it up first, now its dead cause its head got squashed pretty good.
