today i saw my female veiled on the floor of her cage. she's not even 6 months old yet, she's like 5.5. could she be gravid at this young of an age?

She could be, some of my females have changed to adult colors and bred at around 5 months.

they might have changed colours at five months but i would not recomend breeding untill they are at least a year of age. Or at least untill they have a good size and weight ratio. They might be able to breed at this time but its doesnt really mean it is good for them. Many beleave that breeding at such a younge age can shorten her life considerably.

There could be other reasons she is on the bottom, if gravid she would be trying to dig anywhere and u could feel eggs in her lower belly when u feel gently for them, tempatures beign to hot can make them go to the bottom in seek of cooler temps, so check temps specially with the hot summer weither, are there any other signs out of the ordanary u have seen?

nope, just walking on the bottom. and that was only today. the temps are the same as they've been for the past few months. they are in my basement, so it stays cooler down there. her diet is varied, her food is dusted 3 times a week, humidity is good, and she shed about 2 weeks ago.

ok, well i saw her on the bottom of her cage two more times, and she started looking a little gravid, so i put a bucket of Bed-a-Beast in there, so im hoping she will lay(if shes gravid)
