George started showing a milky color around a week ago so I began misting the buggar once a day. Day before yesterday he cleared up entirely worrying me a bit. Well yesterday I found that perhaps the misting did it's job, the shed skin was in the corner in it's entirity still very pliable. George was in his box and I wanted a peek at him so I unbuckled the end and slid him out. He didn't take too well to the intrusion and bit me for the first time. I waited a couple minutes for him to get his bearings and then picked him up.

When they are hiding leave them be, it just means he is seeking privacy and security, that is why you got bit.

Elementary, my dear watson but I like to take pictures.
He's VERY pretty :) I do agree with the above statement however, sometimes it's best to give them a day to get comfortable before bothering them (his colour will be just as vibrant as the day he sheds, so pictures won't be a problem). One thought is that the new skin is still a bit sensitive after being freshly exposed, which is the reason many snakes seem to be extra touchy on the day they shed.
