Snapped one of Pandora, after eating a big meal. I think I can get her colour better with more tries. Pandora is a little over 19’ long – will be weighing her soon.

Her temperment has been really good in the 2 years we have had her. We also have a large female Tiger retic - and both snakes are some of the most inquisitive snakes we have.

We let them out to go for a cruise every once in a while, but, as I soon found out after gettting Pandora, she doesn't like the Python hook. Even me standing there holding it makes her hiss.

The only problem with such docile retics, is it is easy to get complacent and "let your guard down". Just one bad hair day, just 10 seconds, with a snake like that is big trouble. It has not happened yet, but these things happen - and one has to keep reminding themselves what nasty retics are like, when all we currently have are docile ones.

In the picture, she has a belly full of rabbit. A combination of the rabbit just going through that certain digesting stage, and the angle of teh picture, and the way she was laying, give the impression that she ate a much larger food item than she actually did. She could easily handle 30 lb goats and sheep - and we would feed them to her, if we could find a steady supply of organically raised ones around here, which we haven't been able to do yet. So now, we get the largest rabbits (frozen) I've ever seen - some weigh 12 lbs, which makes for a huge frozen rabbit.

I vouche for Pandora's niceness, hers and the tiger retics. Both are incredible animals, but Ryan is totally right, one bad day and big trouble.
