...I tried what you had suggested with my blizzard last night (putting him in a container with a couple of damp paper towels to help remove his shed skin) and it worked...very well!

Glad to hear it worked and he is likely looking terrific now. Love blizzards - they have such dark pink eyes. You will have to post some photos sometime!
