my ball python is around 2.5 years old and 3 feet, is he done growing?

Could be. The books say 6' maximum, but after seeing literally thousands of ball pythons, I don't recall seeing one that actually measured 6'. A 3' adult is well within the norm.
you should get a few more inches out of him as snakes never stop growing, they just slow down alot, you should get another 20+ years with him so he'll get longer yet
i have seen one about 6 feet.....give or take but ~SHE~ was also a very good eater

They are never done growing. Snakes (and ALL reptiles) grow their whole lives. As long as they are shedding, then they are growing (notice how babies who are growing 10x faster than adults seem to shed more? Yeah, there's a reason for that!).
3 feet? If you feed that thing properly it should have no problems getting to 5 feet and as thick as your arm. People don't realize it, but Ball Pythons are definitely impressive animals when they are allowed to be Ball Pythons.
