Names of your boas?

I was reading anothertopic and am now curious as to the names of everyone else's boas.

I don't have a boa yet but when i do it will be a toss up of "Trent Reznor". I am a Nine Inch Nails fan or "Kurtz"/"Colonel Kurtz" As i am a huge fan of "Heart of Darkness/ Apocalypse Now" Mainly of Kurtz character aswell as Marlon Brando and what he was able to add to the brilliance of the book. Marlon by the way was a brilliant man. He sadly died recently.

I'd probably call him kurtz most of the time.

Anyways how about you guys, Names/ Reason for such names.

We name our boa constrictors after gods and godesses, or other mythological beings. Currently the names we have are:

BCI: Anubis, Hera, Hades, Zeus, Athena, Aphrodite, Venus, Persephone, Apollo, Rhea, Perseus.

BCC: Goliath, Adonis, Thetis.

Yes, we have 14 boa constrictors. :D

Awesome. When i first read gods i thought you were talking about Trent Reznor. He's not far off as far as I'm concerned.

I was thinking of naming my next band after a mythological being of some sort but i don't really know where to come across the myths. I would have to have the kind of interest/respect i have for Kurtz character and his ideals.

Well All of my pythons are named after Greek Gods but my Boas are Miss Piggy (female Hog too) Miss Pinkie (f Hog) and Boss Hog (m Hog). Gotta get names for my two new Hogs.

My two BCI's are called Realoki (female) and Bardock (male).
I gave them those name because i love anime and manga, so they were of japanise cartoons. lol
I like Kurt thats a really good name, you should go with that. Good luck!

Male Colombain named Bob... just because. Male Hog island named Peso because it was the most money I've spent on a snake (to date lol). Female Colombian named Rizzo because she's a pink lady with an attitude. :D

Oh very funny! Why don't you just call you just spell Colombian ColUmbians and Post pics of your Colombians and call it "Check out my male BCI." why don't you huh! Everyone has his or her pet peeves man. Apparently my neuroticism is one of yours eh?lol

You quoted the whole thing but I'm assuming you questions has to do with my codes. For some people 30+ animals may not be a lot to name but for me it's too much to bother with. So instead of names I give them codes. I've been coding a lot this week with two clutchs of corns being born. Here's how it works.
If I have 3 Male Colombian boas I call them CBM1, CBM2, CBM3.
When an aner corn is born I call it AN01, etc. I don't add the sex in the code of the corns because it would just get too long. Some people add the year the animal was born too so it would look like this, CBM104.
Each person comes up with their own system of codes based on what works for them.

i like to give my animals greek names because i am a greek myth buff. so my fave BC (argentine male) is aesclepius (the founder of modern medicine, the guy with snakes on his staff). my other BCs are named cyclops (because of his pattern), diamond (pattern), flower (pattern) and manasa (she already had this name when i adopted her). my kenyan is named ramses (another named adoption).

I never really name my snakes..they can't come when called.... hard to keep track of a bunch of names. I just refer to them by their common names....
