last night the first of four eggs hatched, and this is the little fellow that came out. he hatched 2 days shy of 2 months incubation time.

those who have breeding experience, what the heck do you do with these things? i have him in a little deli cup with a stick to climb on, but would like to set something up a little nicer. how big is too big for these little fellows? he's so samll.

As far as i know u dotn have to do anything fancy with them iv been told buy people that raise them that a kritter container with sticks is sufishent in there younger years, and a virity of tiny food. fruit flies and pin crix. Im sure more people will post.

OMG. That is TINY. I had to take out a penny and take a good gander at it just to let it sink in how teeny that lil' baby cham is.

What type of cham is it?

unfortunately i think the batch of crickets i produced has already grown to large for him, but i'll be ordering fruit flies once this holiday weekend is over, and i'll get the crickets breeding again to get some pins. i wasn't expecting these buggers for at least a couple more weeks, though i guess the warmer temps in my apartment may have attributed to that.

americham: these guys are my only breeding experience, but the difficulty didn't really go beyond proper. my eggs incubate in a medium of aquatic potting soil in a closet where temperatures are probably the most consistent out of anywhere in my apartment. i think the most challenging part is going to be raising this little guy (hopefully THESE little GUYS pretty soon here).

mettle: it's the bearded pygmy chameleon (Rhampholeon brevicaudatus). he's actually a little stretched out in that picture. when he's bunched up like they typically are, he's the same length of the penny (my picture of him sitting on top of it didn't turn out :p).

I can't wait to get my leetle guys hatching. Well, I'm in the process of looking for a female or two for my male. And then I hope to breed them.

4 eggs? And all hatched?! That's amazing! That's not a bad sized clutch either.
