I've placed some pics of my Fireplace-Terrarium in the Lampropeltis-forum (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4774)
Take a look when you want to see it.

Alphonzo,

Your terrarium looks simply amazing. It is one of the best I have seen in a while.

I am in the process of having a terrarium built, and I hope that I can decorate it as well as yours. Just a quick question for you, are the plants in your terrarium permanently attached?

Edwin

Thanks Edwin, for the compliments.
The plants are, as you probably have seen, ar plastic ones.
They are not permanently attached. Some are lead along the wire of some halogen-spots; others just lay loose in the terrarium.
So I can change and clean them when I want.
Greetings from the Netherlands

nice cage, Im assuming that you don't use the fire place as it was meant to be?

By the way how long did it take you to build that? just curious

No, there's no fire in the fireplace...just lamps. :)

I don't know how many hours it took. Probably between 50 and 100 hours.

Absolutely beautiful set-up :) I'm working on converting a large vivarium into three separate spaces for various snakes but I know it won't look nearly as nice as yours!

Really impressive, WOW!
