hey i was just curious what everyone uses to disinfect their enclosures...does anyone actually purchase cleaning products specifically designed to be used for herps?? :)
I just use hydrogen peroxide for routine cleaning. It works well for removing urates and is easy to use - all you do is spray, let sit, and wipe with a paper towel. For disnfecting enclosures I use peroxide and vinegar (spray one first, then the other over top and let sit - they work better when they aren't mixed together in the same bottle for some reason). This combination is non-toxic and kills more germs than bleach
I should mentioned my enclosures however are not glass, if you are using glass peroxide will streak it. Vinegar is a great glass cleaner though.
I use vinegar also. It's handy and works really well. It even gets rid of clacium buildup on the sides of glass tanks.

I use Virosan as a disinfectant after I clean cages and waterbowels with very hot water. It's a good deodorizer as well as anti-bacterial treatment.
I use Windex w/ vinegar. Works great, and haven't had any complaints yet.
