take a tupperware that is big enough to hold your snake. cut a hole in the side that is big enough for the snake to get in. make sure the edges are not sharp. find some foam (or sponge material) and cut it to fit the bottom of the tupperware. put it in, u now have a humidity box. get a spray bottle and mist the inside til it is nice and damp (not soaking). put it in the cage, and your snake will enter or exit it, thereby controlling its own humidity. mist the humidity box every day to keep it moist, and clean it every once and a while to prevent bacteria build up.

I just shred newspaper (rip in pieces by hand) so that you don't have much for cleaning, just throw it away and clean the rubbermaid, then put in new newspaper.

You can also put vermiculite in it...that stuff really keeps moisture for soo long! You could mist once every 3 days and it would be good.

Good idea for a humid hdie though, never thought of using a sponge

Wired screen for a snake cage?? My suggestion is to get a book. ANY snake book will do. Even the bad and/or outdated ones will tell you the scoop on screen, and it isn't good.

Wet sponges sitting in a warm enclosure is not the best idea, why not just throw bacteria cultures in there :D.
