Hi all,

My girls are not eating their worms but are eating crickets and they are not eating as much as they have before. I'm wondering if it has anything 2 do with the different seasons? Is this normal or should I try and find a vet in my area and have them checked out? They are drinking and are vary active at night.
I have fed them silkies in the past so do you think they might have lost interst in meal worms??
Sorry for all the lame questions I just want to ask you guys and see if any of you have had these problems.
They are also shedding normal but their tails are not as fat as they have been but not super skinny.
Maybe i'm just over reacting?
Thanks,
Brandi

mine sometimes have a craving for mealies and sometimes they dont. i wouldnt worry about unless they stop eating all together then a trip to the vet would be necessary.

i agree with sketchy, my leo's will eat worms sometimes and then not others, depends on there mood. If they stop eating all together or losing a bunch of weight, then that's when you should be worried

interesting....our young leo will NOT eat crickets (even the tiny ones) but eats the meal and wax worms?? Is this okay that he/she will not eat crickets?

it's ok, djc. just don't feed too many waxworms (treats only). stick with gutloaded, dusted mealies. you can also try other kinds of worms for variety. silkworms, butterworms, superworms (when big enough), etc.
