I've been trying to get my male crested gecko to eat fruit since I got him (about a month ago) and he absolutely wont eat any fruit I offer. I've heard males tend to be more cricket oriented but my crested wont even TOUCH fruit. I've tried peach, banana, and fruit medly baby food. I've also tried fresh apricots, bananas, and nectarines (all overripe) with no success. I'll take my crested out and feed him baby food on my hand and he'll lick it for a second or two then leave it. Should I be concerned? Is there a trick to get him to eat fruit? Any other fruit that I should try? If I cant get him to eat fruit do I need to add something special (besides vitamins) to his crickets? Sorry for all the questions but I'm just worried I may be hurting him with a bad diet.

All cresties are different, some just won't eat fruit. While you keep trying to get him to eat fruit, maybe you could gutload your crickets. This is when you feed your crickets a healthy diet, which is later ingested by your reptiles as they eat the cricket. Try feeding the crickets different fruits and veggies, or a commmercial cricket food.

I'm sure someone can help you out with the specific veggies and fruits that would be best...

Good luck!
