color?????????

i got my new dragon about 10 days ago and ever since then his tail has looked gray i was thinkin he was shedding but it has been a while. should i be worried? is he finishing his shed? starting? do i have to do something?i give him his baths. also when i picked him up at the show he was a nice orange color with white on the bottom. ever since then he has looked brown with gray on the bottom. every time i take him outside to see the sun he turns to that nice color that i want but other then that he looks dull.my temps are basking spot=107 cool end=85
he is in a ten gallon-i feed him vegetables in the morning and about 8 crickets 2 times a day.one of those times they are dusted with calcium and D3.He has a repti sun 5.0-he has grown one inch since i have gotten him and he is now 6 in. he basks alot.-----well just thought i would include this stuff so no one has anything to ask about his husbandry. the 2 questions are what can i do too get his nice color besides take him in the sun---and why his his tail still gray?how long does it take them to shed?

sounds normal to me. it just takes time for them to feel comfortable and settle in then his colors will return. maybe another week or so. how old is he? as for the tail it doesnt sound abnormal. they shed around 4 weeks again at 8 and then speradically after that and they can shed in patches instead of all at once.

my beardie sheds his head and legs, then about 3 days later his tail turns grey, takes him about a week to shed that and then a week after that he shed his body, no joke, he sheds 3 areas in 3diffrent times and each take about a week, dont worry, bearded dragons are such hardy animals, it would be very hard to do something wrong with them
