We've had people help out at various public events, help scrub water dishes, help build hibernation sites, and many other things.

More importantly, what would you prefer to help with, what kind of time commitment(s) can you make, and how easy transportation is for you.

I work at PJ's at Scarborough Town Centre. We do accept volunteers, but i'd recommend you go with Jeff on this one for sure. But volunteering at a pet store is a good way to get hired if you're looking for that as well.

Not trying to start a flame war or anything but I've been to that PJ's and they take horrible care of their animals. Do you have any say in how the reptiles should be kept?

I've been in there and seen BRB in glass tanks with screen lids, no hummidity what so ever, 2 - 3 Cali King snakes all caged in the same tank living on sand substrate, Ball pythons living in tanks with screen lids and no hides. There is almost allways feces all over every cage and almost every snake has horrible sheds.

Again I'm not trying to put the blame on you, but I just wondered what your take on the horrible conditions there. I personally refuse to purchase anything from any PJ's because of how they keep their reptiles.

have you been there latly??? Over the past year it seems to be improving. It is better now then before. But thats my opinion. I personal havnt even seen any feces besides the chameleons enclosure. Also you cant put all the blame on the pet stores, it could have been the sellers fault for the horrible sheds and the health of the reptiles. Im not on either side, but i myself wouldnt purchase "live pets" either. I have in the past and it turned out horrible. I only go there and buy feeders, closest to me. lol o ya im jsut here to tell my own opinion.

I agree, buying dead pets is much better, JK.

Sorry, I just thought that that sounded funny. What exactly did you mean by "live pets"?
