Ok, my male amazon needs more humidity. I fight for it to go to 60% however most of the time it just settles at 40%.
At the moment he lives in an XL Kritter Keeper, Hot spot is averaging 88 degrees, he has paper towel substrate and a water bowl that covers 1/3 of the enclosure.
I tried covering half the lid with a damp towel, I spray his enclosure like a mad lady, and it's just not coming up.
I had a theory, and thought I'd run it by you guys, my Amazon spends 50% of his time in his ground level hide. I was wondering, why don't I replace the ground level hide with a Humid Hide. I believe that may help.
In other news, my female ATB that I've had for two months died on June 21st. She was seemingly healthy. Her mite ordeal was over and done with. She was readily snapping at food. I checked on her at 7:30pm and she was fine, I came home at midnight, and she was hanging lifelessly from her branch. I really hope it wasn't anything I did. :(
