Does everyone elses BRB stay burrowed under its bedding? Just wondering if any of your BRB's have ever been seen climbing and staying perched on anything like some semi-aboreal snakes.

my BRB stay on the ground 99% or the time. The time i have seen mine on the perch i provided for them was to assist in the shedding process.

My BRBs hide 90 percent of the time that I'm awake to see them. They crawl around at night, since they're nocturnal, when the lights are off and I have to sneak in to see it. Once the lights are on, back into the hides they go. I've not seen them seek out climbing perches, though they can certainly climb when they want to. Not the best snake for display purposes but they're beautiful when they're out. If you have a humid hide box of the appropriate size (I use the translucent plastic tupperware type containers lined with damp paper towels or spagnum moss with a hole cut in the lid for the snake to enter), they'll probably stay in there, rather than under your substrate. The containers are cheap and easily replaced when the snake needs a larger size hide. It makes it easier for me since I can pick them up in their hide box and move them during cage cleaning with minimal disturbance.

mine is in one of two places. either its moist hide(liek now becaus she is preparing to shed) or she is burrowed under the newspapers on the warm side
