Here are my 2 bran new leopard gecko eggs layed today :) Im yet again very excited. The bigger, slightly moldy egg is the one layed about 3 weeks ago. I have a couple questions

1) should the new and old eggs be kept in the same incubator/rubbermade or should i put another brick and another rubbermaid with vermiculite and all that. (im using the water method for incubation..water, brick, rubbermade, submersable heater)

2) Is the old egg even good anymore?

3) One of the new eggs has a slight wrinkle in it, not completely oval because she didnt lay it in the lay box  Im waiting to see if it re fills with air or water lol...is their anything in particular i should do?

4) Am i not doing something right...i think i am, this is my first breeding attempt, and maybe you guys have some pointers that could help me be more efficent...thanks! :)

EDIT: forgot the pic!

Heres the eggs.

It appears at first glance that there is far too much humidity in your incubator, which can cause mold to grow on eggs very quickly. You can use the same incubator for all your eggs, the trick is to keep each pair in their own deli cups, with lids, making sure to put holes in the sides of the containers, not the lids. I would say that the first egg is infertile, but wait it out:D

That first egg most definently is infertile. I'd toss it, no point in keeping it around.
Make sure you don't have so much humidity going on there. Leo gecko eggs don't really need all that much. Filling a 16oz deli cup 3/4 full with moist vermiculite and punching one or two small holes on either end of the cup will keep the moisture within it just right throughout the eggs term.
For your method of incubation (tank, water, brick, submersible heater), i'd even recommend not putting in any air holes as this would just bring in more humidity from the water and the heat within the incubator into the deli cup. What you can do is to just "burp" the container every three days allowing for fresh air flow. Burp it as in, open the lid for a few seconds and close it back up.
Take a look at the Caresheet link on my site for Incubation tips. There are some pics there to help for a visual aid.
Hope this helped, and best of luck!

looks like first egg went bad. I would not say it was infertile because it looks like you have way too much humidity in your incubator. Which can cause it to go moldy. looks like you soil is very damp. If you cadle your new eggs look for a blood red round spot in the egg. If so it will be fertile. We use perlite for our incubating. What I would do is put new eggs in a new conatainer with less water in it.

hope this helps you. Keep us informed on your first experience.

Hey,

If you dont see any blood vessles in the eggs within the first day, dont throw it out, they usually start growing the blood vessels a few days to a week later during incubation.

Thanks,
