Surprise surprise !

One of our female was cranky for the past week so we thought she might be pregnant again.. So we put a laying box with her.

Here's her 2nd clutch.. 13 eggs.. 1st one was 22 eggs, 20 fertiles wich hatched this week.

Hard to beleive but I'm not too happy, I wanted her to rest a bit since this was her 1st breeding year.

She was not put back with the male, let's just hope the eggs are good so she didn't do all this for nothing.

For the fertility of the eggs...they all look perfect!

Rene,

They all look great~!
You don't need to put the female back together witht the male to get a second clutch. They just do it as long as you have put her to a female before. I mean even if you put a male to her after laying it doesn't gurantee you to get second clutches~~

But it is good since she has the energy and everything to lay that second clutch. 12 for a second clutch is great~!!

Congrats on the hatchlings too~!!

Nice little ones~!!
