Sorry about that - I lost the connection in the middle of when I was trying to post - said it couldn't find the page. So I am finally getting a break from work to check it and get photos up.
This guy shed yesterday and I had the camera handy - he is growing pretty well - taking adult mice and big fuzzy rats now and is actually a sweetie to handle. Wish I could have gotten some shots outside for better color balance - these shots are kind of contrasty - make him look a bit darker than he is, but he is staying quite solid without much white tipping on the red scales. He is a bit more ivory colored in his white than these photos show.

He is growing well - would love to think he might be willing to breed next season, but I am not sure he will be up to it. My female het albino will still be too young, so he may get a chance with my smaller adult normal - but he may just get to grow up for another year.

Oh man, what a smoker.
Been waiting to see how he's doing, he seems to have quite the reputation and following on the board - well deserved too!
He looks like he's got almost no tipping at all. He should be almost a year-old now, right...? I know my normals that age all have quite a bit of black coming in, you'd think you'd be able to see some white coming in on him by now, but I don't see any. Could that be a tip-off that he may be Hybino. I'm not sure how(or if) you can tell visually, Marc may be able to answer that one for me.
You don't happen to have a spare Hypo(or Het) female lying around for next season, do you...? You could always try to prove him to be Hybino that way.

Mary, you'd be surprised what a young confident 300-350 gr. male hondo could do, I've taken a habit of socializing my young males with older/bigger girls starting twelve months prior to a planned breeding with great results.
It really boils down to individuals males, some will jump all over a pre ovulation female often times 3-4 times his size and weight while others curl up in a corner too intimidated.
As for tipping on albinos, I am convince we would be seeing some type of white peppering by now on the lighter narrower bands. I have been predicting this killer specimen a full tilt ''Hybino'' from day one. Unless he comes from very clean Hypo and Albino lineage making this guy a super clean normal tangerine albino.
Until Mary can test breed this puppy, its all speculation as nobody as been able to visualy assess an Hybino.
Regardless, the best tangerine albino in the country...

Thanks to all for the kind words - I am thrilled to have this little guy - never get tired of looking at him. Only thing better would be to produce one!
Marc - He is a pretty confident little guy, even at this age - and the idea of exposing him to some older females by this fall is a good one - both my adult girls are pretty huge, so if he could get used to them early on, he might be willing to tackle them next spring. He certainly is a bold feeder.
Will - this guy was hatched in September last year. You are so right on the breeding idea - you can bet I will be thinking about a hypo female for him to test breed him out. If he is even het hypo there would be hypo babies that were het albino! I would love a clutch of those! But have to take my time - I have a spouse-imposed limit on the number of snakes I can have (which is a good thing!!), so have to make some choices. May have to downsize the corns to make room for more hondos!
