Normally I keep my worms in my herp room. But with the summer temps, the temp in the room itself has been climbing. At times it can get to be in the low 80's.

So, my question, what is the MAX temp the worms can survive? And live, multiply, etc.

I tried moving my MW bin down to the basement.
Big mistake.
Although nice and cool, it is also humid, more than the dry hot herp room.
Now I have a container that I am trying to save mealworms out of, because the substrate got damp and clumped, with some molding :(

If the worms can tolerate the heat, they will be back in the herp room where its nice and dry .

thanks.

I normally keep my supers and mealies in the 80-84 range so I woudln't worry at all. I find they thrive at this temperature and the growth cycle is optimal for actively reproducing colonies.
